Discover the destination

Your starting point to discover Oviedo

We are your guide to the city

Discover Oviedo with us

We welcome you to our hotel, right in the heart of the historic centre, where you can enjoy a welcoming city, steeped in history and perfect for exploring on foot. We want to be your starting point and that peaceful place you’ll look forward to returning to at the end of each day.

A city with soul

We love Oviedo because it’s a friendly, authentic city with a very special character. Staying at the Gran Regente means being just a stone’s throw away from everything that matters: the cathedral, the old town and that quintessentially Asturian atmosphere.

History and monuments

The Cathedral and the Old Town

We are situated close to San Salvador Cathedral and the charming medieval streets that surround it. It is a unique setting in which to stroll, explore its squares, visit the Archaeological Museum and experience the city’s more than a thousand years of history at first hand.

Flavour and tradition

Cider Boulevard

Just two minutes from the hotel lies the iconic Calle Gascona, known as the Cider Boulevard. It’s an unmissable spot for savouring Asturias through its cuisine: cheeses with protected designation of origin, fabes, local meats, fresh fish and seafood from the Bay of Biscay, traditional recipes and, of course, natural cider poured in the traditional way.

The natural environment

Excursions and routes in Asturias

From the Hotel Gran Regente, you can explore some of Asturias’ most iconic sights in complete comfort. Whether you’d like to visit the pre-Romanesque sites, explore the Picos de Europa or enjoy the Asturian coast, we’ll be delighted to advise you and recommend the best options depending on the kind of trip you’re looking for.
